Overlooking the harbour in Portreath, our cocktail bar brings together coastal views, polished service and a drinks list full of character. Alongside beautifully balanced cocktails, you will find a selection of impeccable wines and well kept local beers, chosen to suit long lunches, sunset drinks and relaxed evenings by the sea.

Stylish but easy going, it is a place for good music, great company and drinks worth lingering over. From a glass of something crisp in the afternoon to a cocktail as the evening sets in, everything is designed to feel relaxed, sociable and full of atmosphere.

From bright and refreshing to rich and indulgent, these are four of our favourite cocktails at The Waterfront. Each one has been chosen for its flavour, character and easy coastal feel, made to suit everything from sunny afternoons to evenings by the harbour.

Grapefruit Cocktails

HARBOUR SUNSET

  • 50ml gin

  • 20ml Aperol

  • 25ml pink grapefruit juice

  • 15ml fresh lime juice

  • 10ml rosemary syrup

  • Top with soda

  • Garnish with a grapefruit wedge and a small rosemary sprig

 

Simple, balanced and always satisfying.

HARBOUR SUNSET

Tropical Cocktail Glass

PORTREATH PUNCH

  • 40ml dark rum

  • 20ml coconut rum

  • 25ml pineapple juice

  • 20ml orange juice

  • 15ml fresh lime juice

  • 10ml passionfruit syrup

  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters

  • Garnish with pineapple leaf or orange slice

SEA MIST SPRITZ​

  • 50ml elderflower liqueur

  • 75ml prosecco

  • 25ml soda water

  • 15ml fresh cucumber juice or 3 cucumber slices lightly muddled

  • 10ml fresh lemon juice

  • Garnish with cucumber ribbon and mint
     

Crisp, cool and full of sea air spirit

  • 50ml spiced rum

  • 20ml coffee liqueur

  • 25ml espresso

  • 10ml vanilla syrup

  • Pinch of sea salt

  • Garnish with three coffee beans or grated dark chocolate
